WELCOME TO COMPETITION WELL SERVICES

We specialize in petroleum and natural gas asset abandonment. Acting on behalf of Alberta’s Orphan Well Association, we decommission hundreds of orphan wells, facilities and pipelines per year. Due to their age and condition many Orphan assets present a unique decommissioning challenge. • "It was a pleasure to have Jim and his crew handle the job and ensure that all parties involved were communicated to on a regular basis. Along with cost tracking measures, any ideas for cost saving were freely passed along to our Project Managers to consider and implement as warranted."

Rob Nadalutti Operations Manager - AltaGas
  • "I wanted to publicly recognize Competition Well Services for their excellent work performed on behalf of Taqa North on 2 Barrhead area well abandonments… I had asked Jim himself to provide the supervision services and project management at the field level as I have absolute trust in his abilities, honesty and professional ethics."

Garry W. Randal Well Abandonment Coordinator - Remedy Energy, on behalf of Taqa North
  • "I had the opportunity to work with Competition Well Services this summer, 2014, in the Statoil Leismer, Corner, Thornbury and Chard fields completing D-13 inspection and abandonment work. Jim and Ron did an exceptional job. They were very professional and thorough. They had a vast knowledge of the regulations and followed them closely. They were vigilant about following the regulations, for the gas migration tests they measured, drilled holes and tested which the past service provider failed to do."

Andy Saboe Wellsite Supervisor - Statoil Canada
